" Believing that God powers strange coincidences and the journey that lies ahead."

Courage to dream.

Tonight I walked the beach with my loyal companion,Kipper, and took in the spectacular view. The beach. The mountains. And even a rainbow .

I snapped a photo and texted it to my kids. Tarah quickly texted back. “That picture makes me so happy. You really did it mom .You achieved your dream.”

My mouth twitched and tears formed as I watched the tide roll in.

I texted back. “Aww Tarah! You are making me cry. I forget that I did . You are right ! This was my dream !”

She responded. “I can’t thank you enough for the life you created for me. You had the courage to better yourself.”

I focused on the rainbow and then texted her back.”Thank you for reminding me. Yes, courage. God gives me strength to walk in his faith.”

I watched the sunset and thought, “I may have Lyme disease but You brought me here God. You make me brave. You brought my dream. You will heal me.”

“Be strong and courageous and get to work. Don’t be frightened at the size of the task, for the Lord my God is with you.”

Hello! Thanks for stopping by. I have been single for the last seventeen years raising my two beautiful children, Jake ( 24) and Tarah (23). I am a native from Chicago but by listening to The ” Whispers Within” I have recently moved to Southern California. I love to run, hike, bike, swim, and practice core yoga but have been sick for the last few years fighting Lyme disease. GOD will heal me but in the meantime, I choose to be happy and not settle for ordinary. I believe in the Fairytale , crave the butterflies, and surrender that God has the plan. Follow me on FB at The Whispers Within.

  4. Lisa, I am glad my sister Elena reached out to me to read your blogs. I have read 26 of them tonight and see that your journey brings out the transparency of His presence in your heart. You definitely shine His light for others to discover His love, grace, patience, way, truth, redemption, forgiveness and mercy through your shared life experiences. You expose your vulnerability by peeling back the mask, most of us wear, to expose your true candidness, authenticity, and love of the radiance of God’s glory, where His word became flesh in his precious son Jesus. I pray that God will heal you in His timing and that you will be evenly yoked with a godly man. May you continue to have a teachable spirit, remain humble and thankful for all His blessings in your life and may He do immeasurably more than you could ask or imagine in the coming years. For without faith, it is impossible to please God. May your faith, exemplified through your blog, be a contagious beacon of His grace and love to fill the hearts of the lost, fearful, and hopeless. I believe you are running a great race, fixed on Jesus, and will “finish strong!” God bless you and praise God for giving you the ability to reach the masses through your beautifully written self-expression. You have developed a resilience and perseverance through adversity, to attain a godly character, a steadfast spirit, a purifying heart and a loving and kindred spirit! I send a hug to you as well as peace. Best Regards, Christopher Childs Prov. 27:19
