The stock market closed. I ate lunch and then spent some time talking to God.

“What should I be doing, God?”

Not even a second passed. God’s response was immediate.

Praying for people.

I closed my eyes and recalled the story I read last night.

D.L. Moody carried a list of a hundred names in his pocket, names of friends who had no relationship with Jesus. His love for his friends was a secret, a hidden prayer on their behalf. He prayed by name everyday for their salvation.

When he died, ninety-six of the names on the list had become answered prayers.

The last four attended his funeral and accepted God as their savior that day.

I opened my eyes and thought I want that!

I grabbed a pen and a notebook and scribbled a few names down.

What if…what if we ALL did this; carried a list of friends, people we know from yoga, the gym, colleagues, neighbors, or the barista, and prayed that they would know and love Jesus like you do?

Ask God for faith, hope, and love to be your motivation.

Write the list.
